Roz is a native of the Midwest, a small farming community 120 miles southwest of Chicago, in Peru Illinois. Her father was the local grocer and mayor of a nearby community Utica IL. as well as her mother owning women's clothing store so customer service is one of the foundations to what Roz teaches us in Dentistry, "Patient Relationships", going the extra mile for our patients.
After high school graduation, Roz attended Illinois Valley Community College obtaining her Associates degree in Business Administration and began her own business as a party/wedding planner for 10 years. Roz answered a want ad placed by Dr. Mark Benavides, Ottawa IL. that read, "Need a person to run my dental practice like a business" and was hired as the Office Manager by Dr. Benavides for many years. Roz obtained years of "hands-on" experience by attending many training courses along with certifications from Walter Hailey Dental Boot Kamp, Dr. John Kois, Jennifer St. George, Sally McKenzie, Roger Levin, Mercer, Linda Miles, and etc. Roz is a computer software trainer for many of the leading dental software programs.
Roz has become a national speaker in the Dental industry as well as Practice Trainer and Advisor to over 350 dental practices throughout the United States and Canada for the past two decades. Roz was a facilitator and practice coach with the former Dental Boot Kamp with Walter Hailey and Steve Anderson from 1998 - 2003 and again in 2005 - 2011 with Steve Anderson's ToPS, Total Patient Service Institute.
In 2003 Roz founded "Making a Difference...Today!" a Dental Training Company that customizes onsite training to the needs and wants of the dental practice. Each onsite visit is customized to what the team members and dentist want for the success of their practice. No two practices are trained alike, as Roz's motto is "No two offices better are alike, so why should the systems be alike?" This is about your systems, not my systems.
